Reading Theater

By Anastasiya Zamula

Goldilocks and many other fairy tale characters visited KIS through the voices of our talented students. The 8C and 9J classes performed a Reading Theater "Goldilocks and Christmas Elves." Students created a reading theater that they performed for their peers and parents on Wednesday, December 12. Ms. Jones and Ms. Christensen were in charge of preparing the theater, helping the students to prepare. The "Goldilocks and Christmas Elves" was modified just for the students so it includes some Ukrainian culture, such as Ukrainian Christmas characters like Ded Moroz and Snigyrochka. Many other students came to watch the show with their teachers. Parents were supporting their kids with cameras and applause. The goal for such a theater was to master the reading skills of the students, but with a great amount of fun. The atmosphere was jolly and festive. Many students revealed that they are extremely excited for the holidays, and such performances put them in the holiday mood.
