Pre-School Fall Festival Performance & Elementary Parade

By: Rebecca Rommen

On Friday, November 1st, KIS’ “Fall Festival” (based on Halloween), most of the pre-school and elementary students showed up to school vesting creative costumes representing characters, creatures, and monsters they love. Even their eager teachers showed up in costume- Mrs. Pyatt was a hot dog and Mrs. Hume showed up with whiskers and cat-ears!

After that heart-warming event, the elementary parade took place. Although admittedly rather chaotic, it was fun to watch the 1st-5th grade students “walk” (jog) past in their costumes.

"I want to publicly commend Larisa Lastovych and Katya Zaharova, the wonderful music and dance/pe teachers who work with the 3, 4 and 5 year olds. They put on a performance with the 3 and 4 year olds on November 1st which was extraordinary.  Their energy, enthusiasm, devotion to the children, and their willingness to plan and prepare these special programs is exemplary.

Thanks as well to the teachers and paraprofessionals in the 3 and 4 year old classes who willingly assisted in the program's presentation."- Lois Bridenback
