THANKS FOR A GREAT NINE DAYS, KIS!!

Manish Tanwar has solved the Secondary Four puzzle by realizing that the only place at KIS where you'll find 88 keys on a stage is in our Dramatorium. He collected his Renaissance Hotel Teddy Bear from the secondary office along with a bag of swag from Samsung.

That was the last clue of the contest. We hope you had an awesome time playing.

Thanks to every competitor, large and small, and to everyone who tolerated the disruption to schedules and routines. We sincerely appreciate the support and school spirit.

Scroll down to see who won each day's prize, and look for a radio interview with our Grand Prize winners from Mr. Stone's class early next week.

IT'S OVER!!!

17 minutes ago, an email was sent to KIS Today notifying us that the students in Mr. Stone's class have broken the code and retrieved the Grand Prize Puzzle Prize.

Congratulations to Nadia from 10S. We'll have details on how she was able to do it soon.

Tomorrows Senior Puzzle will proceed as scheduled, but it is, as we say in the curling world, a dead rubber. They are playing for pride only.

An AWESOME Video Presentation From The Elementary Wing

video
This video was created by Misha in Mrs. Hume's 8 Year Old class a looooooooooooong time ago, and we lost track of the video file ... until this morning!! So, with profuse apologies to Misha, who has been patiently waiting for us to get this done, we are proud to show this amazing work now.

Sasha R. and Martna I. have won the eighth day's prize package by realizing that the answer was Mr. Peace. (The old dudes in the clue are both Leo Tolstoy, who wrote War and Peace. In case that wasn't enough of a hint, the cartoon Tolstoy is clearly a gym teacher.) Sasha R. and Martna I.will likely have to dissect their nice little teddy bear from The Renaissance Hotel and have already shared the Samsung swag bag with their IB film class. They also triggered the release of the eighth clue in the Grand Prize Puzzle. (See above.) Tomorrow's clue is open to all the Secondary 4 Classes. Thanks to everyone who competed! And thanks also to all the staff who are generously allowing us to interfere with the first parts of all these morning classes. It is noticed and MUCH appreciated by the entire Media I team.

Jakub Kowalczuk has won the seventh day's prize package by realizing that the film posters all featured Morgan Freeman. The first became the last, and he was led to Mr. Morgan. (The images on the left were J. S. Giguere and J.S. Bach -- the J = Jack, the S = Staci.) Jakub will receive a nice little teddy bear from The Renaissance Hotel and a swag bag for his advisory group to share provided by Samsung. He also triggered the release of the seventh clue in the Grand Prize Puzzle. (See above.) Tomorrow's clue is open to all the Secondary 3 Classes. Thanks to everyone who competed!

Ishaan has won the sixth day's prize package. Ishaan got a nice little teddy bear from The Renaissance Hotel and a swag bag for his advisory group to share provided by Samsung. He also triggered the release of the sixth clue in the Grand Prize Puzzle. (See above.)

Here's how he did it:

The puzzle has two parts. You must combine them to solve it.

First, what noun fits this definition: In Greek and Roman mythology, the food of the gods; or something very pleasing to taste or smell; or a dessert made with oranges and shredded coconut.

Ambrosia

Second, what is a synonym for all of these words: delightful, pleasant, nice, agreeable, marvellous, wonderful, sublime, superb, magical, informal, terrific, fabulous, heavenly, divine, amazing and glorious.

Lovely

Tomorrow's clue is open to all the Secondary 2 Classes. Thanks to everyone who competed!

Ziad M has won the fifth day's prize package. (The solution led him to Mrs. Hefley. "Greg" is the name of the main character in Diary of a Wimpy kid, so when he grew up, he changed his name to Dan and married Mrs. Hefley.) Ziad got a nice little teddy bear from The Renaissance Hotel and a swag bag for his homeroom to share provided by Samsung. He also triggered the release of the fifth clue in the Grand Prize Puzzle. (See above.) Tomorrow's clue is open to all the Secondary 1 Classes. Thanks to everyone who competed!
